Lighter setup
Current availability: Add account → Lighter is a setup preview. No wallet connection, API-key registration, tier change or fee approval takes place. Multi-venue order submission is disabled.
Prerequisites
Sign in to VertigoPro to open Add account. You do not need a Lighter deposit or API key to inspect the preview. For existing live accounts, retain access to the wallet controlling the account and to Lighter’s own application.
Create and fund a Lighter account
Use Lighter for account creation and deposits. Confirm current venue eligibility, deposit network and account details there before moving funds. A deposit does not remove VertigoPro’s execution restriction.
Choose a connection method
- Select Add account, then Lighter.
- Choose one of the three connection methods.
- Inspect the account selection or API details and select Continue.
- Review the venue, account name and method under Authorize.
- Select Preview connection, then finish or skip the optional layout and theme previews.
Success adds an entry marked Preview. It is temporary, cannot trade and does not confirm ownership of a Lighter account.
Browser wallet
This advances to sample account choices without calling your wallet. Main account and Subaccount 1 are example labels, not discovered Lighter balances or account indices.
WalletConnect
This previews the phone-wallet method without creating a WalletConnect session. There is no QR-code connection to complete in the current flow.
Existing API key
API key opens API details. The credential fields remain blank and read-only with Preview only placeholders. You can name the preview entry, but cannot import a signing key.
Account index and API-key index
Account index identifies the Lighter account. API key index identifies a key slot for that account. API private key is the signing secret; neither numeric index replaces it. These fields differ from Hyperliquid’s account-address and API-wallet model and must not be interchanged.
The current preview validates no relationship between these fields. Manage actual credentials through Lighter’s API-key page.
Signing credential handling
The existing Lighter adapter creates and uses signing credentials in the browser. Its seed is held in memory rather than synchronised with VertigoPro preferences. The Worker does not receive the API private key. Security explains what a refresh or device change means for credentials.
Confirm trading readiness
A preview entry is never a readiness signal. The execution adapter additionally requires a valid account session, current market data, a configured integrator account and venue fee approval. Its partner-order path requires a Plus or Premium account; Standard is rejected by the current adapter.
Do not change tier to try to unlock this release. Lighter’s account types and fees have different costs, and the independent VertigoPro execution restriction still applies.
Session and refresh behaviour
Preview entries exist only for the current application session. They are not recovered as trading connections after reload. Saved public account descriptors, where present from an existing connection, also do not restore a signer.
An actual Lighter signing session uses an in-memory credential. Refreshing or ending that session can require authorisation again; preference sync does not back up the seed.
Disconnect or replace a key
Removing a preview affects only its temporary entry. For a real key, inspect and revoke or replace the relevant key slot at Lighter. Verify the account index before acting, and check outstanding orders independently. Disconnecting VertigoPro or clearing browser data is not proof of venue-side revocation.
