Layouts and workspaces
Layout concepts
A saved layout contains widget arrangement, tabs, linked market groups and per-chart intervals. Multiple groups allow different markets in the same workspace. A layout saves presentation and market context, not credentials or permission to trade.
Create and switch layouts
Start from the desktop terminal with a workspace loaded.
- Arrange the current widgets as required.
- Select Create layout from current.
- Enter a name and confirm the dialog.
- Open the layout-name menu to switch between Saved layouts.
The new layout should appear in the menu with the current arrangement. If creation is disabled, check the saved-layout count. Switching layouts does not submit or cancel venue orders.
Featured layouts
Choose Browse featured layouts from the layout menu for predefined starting points. Featured layouts cannot be renamed or deleted. Create a custom layout from the current arrangement when you need a separately named version.
Add widgets
Open WIDGETS and select the required widget. Check the resulting workspace for a new panel or tab; panels can share a docked group rather than each occupying a separate column.
Move, dock, and resize widgets
Drag a widget tab to a docking target to create a split or place it with another tab. Drag the divider between groups to change their relative space. When a panel appears to be missing, check the other tabs in its group before adding another copy.
Expand and close widgets
Use the panel’s expand control to focus it and restore it to return to the grid. Closing a widget removes that view from the layout; it does not close a position, cancel an order or stop an independently configured alert source.
Link widgets by market group
Assign the same link group to widgets that should change market together. Select a market from a chart or another linked surface to update that group. Give separate groups to unrelated charts.
Venue identity travels with the instrument. A secondary group can change venue or market without replacing the primary group’s navigation context. Chart intervals are saved per panel.
Rename and delete layouts
Select a custom layout, then Rename current layout to change its name.
Delete current layout removes the saved layout. Preserve a separate copy first if you may need it again; do not rely on arrangement undo to recover a deleted workspace. Featured layouts and the final remaining workspace are protected by the layout controls.
Undo, redo, and reset
Undo layout change and Redo layout change operate on workspace arrangement history. They are not account-action controls.
Restore classic workspace replaces the current arrangement with the classic starting arrangement. Create a named copy first if the existing layout matters. The mobile reset restores the default mobile workspace configuration.
Layout history and recovery
Signed-in users can open Version history from the saved-layout menu.
- Open the layout to recover.
- Select Version history and wait for recovery points to load.
- Choose the required saved revision and restore it.
- Check the restored widgets and market groups before editing further.
The dialog offers up to the last 20 saved recovery points and keeps the current layout as another recovery point when restoring. An empty history means no earlier versions are available. If history is temporarily unavailable, retry after account sync recovers.
Saved-layout limits
The current limit is 10 workspaces. The layout menu shows the number used. Remove an unneeded custom workspace before creating another at the limit; featured workspaces also occupy entries in the saved collection.
Local and account-synced layouts
Guest layouts are local. Signed-in layouts synchronise with the account, including panel groups and market identity, while the active layout choice remains device-specific. Pending saves can remain on a device during an outage.
Check Settings → General → Account sync before clearing browser storage or expecting another device to have the latest arrangement. Sync recovery covers Sync paused and Retry now.
